Strange fodder The bathroom at work has been a point of contention for some time. Sometimes, forgetful employees may drop some friends off at the pool and forget to flush, leaving a wonderful surprise for the next poor soul. Even if they do flush, the stench of freshly baked brownies and air freshener will linger for hours. I think the exhaust fan is broke.

Anyway, before leaving work yesterday, I visited the little boys room and saw the liquid soap bottle (which contains hand lotion) on the counter next to a Java Developer’s Journal magazine and a book by Sean Hannity. That’s some mighty odd fodder to masturbate to. But thinking about it, someone probably filled up the soap dispenser and forgot to put the refill bottle back.

See ya, Jake Today was one of my co-workers’ last day. He’s moving on, making plans to live off government cheese in a van down by the river! No, Saturday Night Live references aside, he’s moving to a company that installs point-of-sales systems in pizza joints. Jake’s been great to work with. He doesn’t ask stupid questions (any more), and I think I finally got him liking Linux. Jake has two failings; he won’t ever give up his Windows (he’s too much of a gamer) and he’s a soy juice junkie. Everything he eats has soy in it. He’s gonna turn into a soy bean some day. I know I’ll read about it in the “Odd News” section of Yahoo News. Good luck in your future endeavors, Jake!

NOLA Joke

The Situation in New OrleansOkay. I know the flooding and recovery situation in New Orleans isn’t funny, but this illustration was attached to some junk mail that made it into our ticket system at work. You have to admit, though, this comic is funny. What’s happened to the Gulf Coast is tragic. It’s nothing to laugh at. However, things like this can lift your spirits. If you can’t laugh at others, who can you laugh at? Wait. That didn’t come out right, but I guess it’s correct (albeit politically incorrect). Like the Mayor of New Orleans, the Governor of Louisiana, and the Director of FEMA… This illustration is just a joke! So, don’t email me or flame me in comments.
