Yesterday and Today I rented a truck over the weekend to take some things (way too many things) to the County dump. Since I can’t drive two vehicles at the same time, I left my 1968 Mustang at the truck rental center. When I returned the truck the next day, I was pleased to see a brand-new 2005 Mustang GT parked next to my ’68. I snapped this photo with my phone. Pretty cool, huh? I’d love to have the finances for an ’05 Mustang GT. The lines of the new ‘Stang are quite nice.

Speaking of my phone, I’ve noticed the pictures are out of focus. I may have to call Cingular and bitch about it. I’ve also noticed the battery life isn’t the greatest, either. I can only get three days max… and I don’t use it much at all. Two or three calls a week, plus pictures… Shouldn’t have to recharge the phone so often…

Old cell phone Doing some spring cleaning (against my better judgement), I came across the second cell phone I ever owned. I used my current phone and snapped a photo of this huge phone. Note the U.S. Quarter used as size reference. See, I told you this phone was huge. Nostalgia ended with this photo… I dropped it into a trash bag without a second thought.

Jane, stop this crazy thing!

It’s been almost a week since I last posted… It’s amazing what happens in a week when you step back and think about it. Lyle’s back from vacation, and I thought it would be nice to take a couple days off at the end of the week to rest and relax myself. I hadn’t had any time off since I started in June, and I also figured taking a relaxing 4-day weekend would help me convalesce from pneumonia… no such luck.

The same day my two-day mini vacation was approved, I got notice from the landlords that they want to do their periodic inspection. I’ve lived in this house for over 6 years, and they’ve never done an inspection. I’ve heard the old warhorse owner is looking to sell, which is probably why they’re wanting to do inspections. Needless to say, I’ll be spending my 4-day weekend doing spring cleaning and making sure there’s no reason for the landlord/owners to pitch a fit.

Of course, any strenuous activity still makes me short of breath. My doctors feel I’ve probably had pneumonia since I first contracted it in December 2002. It’s going to take a while to recover from. In fact, if you look at my last post about spirometry, you can see my lung volume was 3125 milliliters. I have gotten it to 3200 milliliters. However, I left my Combivent inhaler at work Wednesday because I rushed to the bank before 5:00pm. I’ve missed two doses, and I can definately feel it affecting my breathing. I can’t even reach 2000 milliliters now (morning of April 21), and my breathing is short. I’ll be going to work (on my day off) to pick up my inhaler. It’s amazing how missing two doses can throw me backwards so far.

Now, on a completely different topic. At lunch yesterday, I lost my wallet at City Beach Park… oh no, wait… it’s now called Windjammer Park. Stupid city… Anyway, I lost my wallet at the Park. I didn’t know I lost it until I was already back from lunch, and I got a jabber message from Tina asking if I had my wallet. I checked my pockets, and sure enough, I did not. Turns out a really nice lady found my wallet at the Park and drove to my house to return it. Since I was at work and not at home, the nice lady actually drove to my place of employment to return my wallet. It’s really nice to know that the world isn’t full of self-serving cockbagels and cuntbagels. With two credit cards, a driver’s license, and enough personal data to steal an identity, I’m very thankful “Cheryl” was an honest citizen and returned my wallet.
