60.jpg A friend of mine saw this 2005 Saleen S281 at the Tulalip Indian Casino and just had to send a picture of it to me. Saleen makes great cars, and I’ve had the honor of meeting Steve Saleen at a Mustangs Northwest car show a few years back.

The 3-valve version ($38k) tops out at 325-horsepower, the supercharged version ($45k) has 400-horsepower, and the E version (‘E’ for Extreme, due out in the spring) has 500 "buckle-up-and-hang-the-fuck-on" horsepower! Check out the Saleen web page for more information and some cool videos of this sweet ride!

Sunny Day

59.jpg We’re in a nice stretch of nice weather. Afternoon temperatures are in the mid 50s, and there hasn’t been the threat of rain for weeks. It’s definately not our typical Pacific Northwest weather of wind and rain. This picture was taken at City Beach Park in Oak Harbor during the lunch hour. The seagulls are waiting for more french fries.

Apple Store

55.jpg58.jpg Yoshi, Leigh, Lyle and I took a drive down to the University District Apple Store in Seattle today. Lyle was heading to the Apple Store to buy a new 12" Powerbook to keep his new Mac Mini company. I wanted to tag along to drool over all the sleek and gorgeous Apple hardware. I was really impressed with how solid the Powerbooks feel, and I have to say, I have a bad case of Mac envy. I was leaning towards the Mac Mini because of the attractive price, but after getting a chance to use the Powerbooks, pick it up, and feel it, I want a Powerbook! In fact, I was impressed with all the Mac hardware… except the iBooks. The screens seems a bit dodgy on the iBooks, and I’m not a fan of the all-white plastic look. Now, if I only had $2000 for that 15″ Powerbook. Fuck it, I’d like to have about $15,000 to spend. One of those big-ass cinema screens and a G5 would have to accompany the Powerbook.
